Aurangabad, MH: 2 teenagers killed in bike accident on 09th June 2018

Aurangabad: Two teenagers were on Saturday night crushed to death after their motorcycle collided with a speeding fuel tank near Sharnapur phata. They were returning from Bhadra Maruti temple.
The deceased have been identified as Yashwant Subhash Shinde alias Bunty, a resident of Vijaynagar, and Rushikesh Ashok Paithankar, a resident of Guruduttnagar of Garkheda area of the city. Both of them were 17-years-old.
The accident reportedly took place when they tried to overtake a vehicle and ended up colliding with the speeding fuel tanker coming from the opposite direction.The duo had passed their SSC examinations a couple of days ago and had gone to the temple to pay obeisance on Saturday.
The Cantonment police have seized the fuel tanker bearing registration number MH-10-Z-1929 along with its driver. He has been booked on the charges of causing death due to negligence and rash driving.
Police said that Rushikesh died on spot, while Yashwant succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital.
Sources said that following the accident, the authorities have taken cognizance of the fact that deceased were minors and did not have driving licence. “Following this accident, the traffic branch would live a special drive to bring a check on the underage youths riding motocycles and even driving cars, and putting their lives, as well as lives of others in danger,” said a sub-inspector.
