Chintamani, KA: 4 die, 10 hurt in tempo-truck collision on 01st July 2018

Four agricultural labourers, who were returning home from Manchenahalli in Kolar, were killed on the spot when the tempo they were travelling in rammed a truck near Chintamani. Ten others sustained injuries and were rushed to Jalappa Hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Aswatha, Venkatalakshmamma and Ramesha, all three residents of Channakeshavapura, Chintamani, and Harish from Kotalipalli, Chintamani, according to police. The incident took place at Thimmasandra village on Chintamani-Sidlagatta Road when the tempo carrying the labourers collided with a truck transporting mangoes. It is learnt that all those travelling in the tempo were agricultural labourers, who were returning after plucking carrots in another village.
